24/04/05 - Starting at the Smugglers Haven car park, we headed steeply down into the Landslip, then along and up through the narrow rock tunnel. It soon transpired that this was Spencer warming us up for the coming horrors. Crossing the road we headed (vertically) up St Boniface Down. Impressed at the steepness of the slope, we all took our time to savour it, before collapsing at the top. Along and down the far side of the Down, then looping round above the old railway station, and up the Down again. Finally down into Bonchurch, through the back streets for a drink in the pub before returning to the car park.
