26/06/05 - A group of about 10 started out from the Chequers Inn near Rookley, heading west down the hill to cross the River Medina. We then passed throught the outskirts of Chillerton
and Gatcombe, up Newbarn Down for a pleasant lunch in the sunny weather. Continuing along Chillerton Down we wound through the country lanes and down to cross the Medina again, and back up the hill for a welcome
drink in the pub.
