12/8/05 - Perseids Evening. A select band gathered at the Fat Cat pub in Freshwater for a very pleasant evening (once we admitted it was too cold to sit outside!). We were joined by more reinforcements at 10pm for the trek up to Tennyson Monument. As always, the monument was further than we thought but that gave plenty of time for playing with torches. Once at the monument we spent a happy hour watching the skies spotting the spectacular meteors. As we began to get cold, we re-adjusted our neck muscles and made our way down the hill to the car park. Leader - Spencer Total Distance 3 Miles
