4/3/07 - Unfortunately this walk was cancelled due to incessant rain, after a flurry of early morning calls from Wight Solers to either announce their non-attendance (Gary and Hilary) to see if the walk was cancelled (Alf and Cherry), or to offer us a lift to the start (the very hardy Spencer and Alison!). Martin did attend the start where he found Colin and Trish raring to go.

Martin, Tracey and Jan with Archie walked it out last Sunday and it was a great route, starting at Whale Chine, taking in the snowdrops at Pyle, Corfe Farm and Gun Hill before heading back via Dungewood Farm on the last bit of the Shepherds Trail and along the coastal path. It was muddy in places and on the coastal path quite breezy which fortunately was behind us. Keeping to the planned route it took us 3 hours.

We did the same route last year in much better conditions and with the snowdrops in their prime, so here are a few pics to whet your appetite for hopefully the same walk next year. . .
